The key differences between toughened (or tempered) glass and normal (or annealed) glass panes lie in their manufacturing processes, strength, safety features, and applications.

Toughened glass (Tempered Glass)

It is 4 to 5 times stronger than normal glass. When broken, toughened glass shatters into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards, reducing the risk of injury.

Normal Glass (Annealed Glass)

It is weaker than toughened glass and more prone to breaking under impact or thermal stress. When broken, normal glass shatters into sharp, jagged pieces that can cause serious injury.

Double glazed windows have two panes of glass, while triple glazed windows have three. Triple glazed windows are generally more energy-efficient than double glazed windows, but they are also more expensive.

If there is condensation between the panes of a double-glazed glass pane in a window or door, known as failed or blown pane it is a sign that the seal has failed and the glass needs to be replaced entirely.
